For the past couple of weeks, the huge grass-covered hill in front of Pepperdine University was being prepared for some kind of display. There was a grid of thousands of small red paper markers arranged in two banks, one hugging the PCH side, the other along Malibu Canyon Road. Today, the mysterious project was revealed:
It’s hard to believe that the attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon were seven years ago today. Like you, I’ll never forget that morning. It was supposed to be a happy day, as it was also our eighth wedding anniversary.
